Lobelio Project I will be leaving for Israel on October 10, 2004 to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for 10 months. I have been awarded a scholarship covering the tuition. Unfortunately, I am still $8000 short. My Project To write a book about current Israel-Vatican relations. Major topic areas will include: pre- and post-Vaticanum Secundum theology; the Church and Hebrew Catholics in Israel; appreciation of our Jewish heritage. It is perhaps the last opportunity to interview and get testimonies of the Holocaust survivors (converts who founded the Hebrew Catholic community in Israel). One of the main Israeli negotiators with Vatican will soon be retiring from the MFA. This is why I am determined to go to Israel this year. Who Am I? I am 22. I live in Warsaw, Poland. I joined the Association of Hebrew Catholics in November 2002. I am currently studying political science. I have published essays on the Danish Christians' reception of the Holocaust in "Wiez" (an elitist Polish monthly) in 2002. The essay "Imprisonment. Globalization According to Havel" was published in the "Globalization as a Source of Competition, Conflicts and Opportunities", Kiev, Ukraine, 2003. Two essays of mine: "Sharon and the Pea. The Geneva Accord" and "Kibbutz. Ill or Dead" were published in the "Panstwo Izrael. Analiza politologiczno-prawna", Wroclaw, Poland, 2004. I translated from French Cardinal Lustiger's book on the Jewish-Christian relations, too. It was published as "Obietnica" by the eSPe Publishing House in Krakow, Poland. I ask for your support The scholarship does not cover the stay expenses (such as room and board), neither does it pays for travel or books. The travel, I should be able to afford myself. Unfortunately, not the rest. Thank you for your help and may God bless you. Contact information Home address: Mr. Andrzej Lobelio Kozicki, Ujazdowskie 43/6, Warsaw 00532, Poland
